Huge day today:
Mark, Tripp and Allen Martin replaced the old, jacked up wooden bridge with a REALLY pro rock bridge. This thing looks great!!
David Meredith deserves special thanks:
He brought out his mini excavator and bench cut a HUGE reroute and some sweet switchbacks......everyone please thank him when you see him b/c instead of using his machine to make a living he was cutting trail with it.
I'm beat and heading to bed....

Thanks to Carl, Zack, Tripp, Alan, Jonathan, David, & his trackhoe. Especially the aid of the Bobcat definitely beat carrying all those heavy rocks. My back was tired enough as it was.
ALAS THE PROBLEMATIC WOODEN BRIDGE IS NO MORE! As Steve Miller sang, it Keep on Rock'n me baby.

Rode the "new cut" today and it will be awesome when it's finished!! thanks to zach and david for the effort. Also, the bridge is great! After seeing the damage yesterday, I never thought it would look normal, again.

all praise to david meredith and the mini-excavator on that one. he moved alot of dirt around so we could build back the bank and he spared us from having to lug large rocks to build that bridge. thanks also to mark and alan for their hard work making all those irregularly shaped rocks fit together. that stone bridge should ride well in both directions.
