Re:Rites of Spring Ride 5 Months ago
Currently all trails are closed due to the rain yesterday evening. With the high winds that occurred, I would also expect some downed trees as well. At this point, I would say the mountain bike ride portion of the Rites of Spring is looking pretty sketchy.

If trails remain closed tomorrow, I would suggest that we just try to have a group ride at some point in the near future. Maybe we could do an out-of-town trip? Meanwhile, let's just see how today goes with drying out and a decision will be made tomorrow morning. That's the best we can do, I'm afraid.

See my post about CP. The sections I walked this mid-morning looked good, but I never hiked on the dog park side. This is just my input for the folks who make the call on open/closed status. malleus

Eric, you must know something I don't. Trails show still closed on the FTS website and I haven't heard from anyone else. I am loaded and ready to go tho. I'm willing to lead a slower group if there are riders interested in a slower pace. I've ridden hard and worked out a lot this week, so slow is ok with me!

We can figure out where we want to go once we get there tomorrow.

The pace will be slow so we can keep everyone together.
The trails that we will ride will be set in stone tomorrow because of the conditions that they are in as of now.
